British trade minister to visit Cairo

British Minister of State for Trade and Industry Bryan Wilson is to visit Cairo on February 13 to hold talks with senior officials on supporting commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries.
A source in the British embassy said the visit comes amid the concern of British Prime Minister Tony Blair's government for investment in Egypt, especially as Britain occupies the second position after U.S.A for non-Arab investments in Egypt.
A delegation of British businessmen is to visit Cairo on February 6, comprising 60 investors in the stock market and in the field of financial services.
The delegation will discuss direct and indirect investment in the Egyptian financial market and participation in purchasing some businesses offered for privatization.
