German foreign minister to visit Cairo on February 13

German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer is to visit Cairo on February 13 within his tour of the area, which includes Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian self-rule areas.
Peter Dingens, Germany's ambassador in Cairo, said Fischer will meet his counterpart, Amr Moussa, adding that the discussions will tackle Germany's role as the current head of the European Union in pushing forward the peace process and removing the obstacles that obstruct it, as well as cooperation between Egypt, the European Union and Germany and pushing forward the Egyptian - European partnership.
