Israeli bombardment of Qekya's kill 35 sheep
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 1/29/1999

Israeli occupation forces on Thursday continued attacks on villages and towns adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Israeli artillery bombarded several areas and heights, especially in the western Bekaa districts.

The Israeli bombardment of Qekya's surroundings in the western Bekaa killed 35 sheep owned by Lebanese citizen Muhammad Hussein Qasem.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli bombardment targeted the heights of Jabal al-Daher and Maidoun.

Meanwhile, an explosion took place on Thursday at the headquarters of the Amal movement's "Islamic Message Boy Scouts" in Zouter West town in south Lebanon. The explosion destroyed the walls of the building and burned its contents. The Lebanese Army and security forces started investigations to clarify the events behind the explosion in the building.

The Amal movement said that Israel and its hirelings are behind the incident in order to destabilize internal security in southern Lebanon.
