Turkish president concludes visit to Algeria today

Algerian President Liamine Zeroual held intensive talks yesterday with his Turkish counterpart, Sulieman Demirel, who concluded his visit to Algeria heading a large Turkish delegation that includes the foreign ministers, education, officials in the Turkish parliament and nearly a hundred Turkish businessmen.

The talks tackled bilateral ties between the two countries they agreed to develop these ties to move from the commercial exchange stage to a real partnership and use the opportunities presented by the two countries' economies.

The Qatar News Agency reported that Demirel said both Turkey and Algeria enjoy the capability of improving joint cooperation in various fields, especially in military industry, tourism education and energy. He stressed that during his meeting with his Algerian counterpart he noted the possibility of improving relations between the two countries in all areas and his regret over the "terrorist acts" which claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people in Algeria.
