Arab figures believe Arab disputes will increase Israeli obstinacy
A poll of 55 Arab cultural and political figures from Egypt, Syria, Kuwait, Palestine, Emirates, Yemen, Tunisia, Libya and Saudi Arabia conducted by El-Ahram newspaper found that 76% said "we are living in the worst Arabian conditions," while 46% said that the Arab summit will not be convened.

Sultan Qaboos Bin Said of Oman is to pay a visit to Cairo during the coming few days. Iraq has repaired its civil constructions damaged by the recent US-British attacks on the Iraqi territories in the second half of December, 1998.
