252 million pounds in compensation for Egypt from Iraq

The Compensation Committee affiliated to the United Nations in Geneva agreed on the amount of 252 million Egyptian pounds ($84 million) as compensation to Egyptian workers in Ira. This amount will be paid to the Egyptians workers in Iraq to who transferred from Iraqi banks as of July 1, 1990, before the Gulf War. ArabicNews.com learned that these amounts will be transferred next month to the Egyptian Central Bank through the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, which keeps copies of these transfers.
