Peres meets with Cook today in London

Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres is to hold talks today in London with British Foreign Minister Robin Cook. They will center on exchanging viewpoints concerning regional conditions and the deterioration in the Middle East peace process.
British officials say that Peres, who is on a special visit to London to meet with the Jewish community there, asked for the meeting with Cook at a time when Israel is busy preparing for parliamentary elections scheduled for May.
