Lebanon lifts visa requirements for Palestinians
Lebanon, Politics, 1/19/1999
Lebanon has decided to lift travel restrictions for hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who possess Lebanese travel documents, "AFP" news agency reported.
According to the source, embassies and border posts have been informed that Palestinians registered in Lebanon are now exempted from visa requirements following a decision by Prime Minister Salim Hoss.
In 1995, Lebanon began requiring an entry visa for all Palestinians -including an estimated 350,000 Palestinian refugees who live in Lebanon and hold Lebanese papers, fearing a massive influx.
