Beirut to host second Arab communications conference

Lebanon will host on February 28 - March 2 the second conference of the Arab international communications, "Arab Com 99," in Beirut.
Heslam Demashkeh, Lebanon's ambassador in Cairo, said the international union for communications will be sponsoring the conference and the accompanying exhibition, in addition to the support of the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council, Arab ministers of communications and the Arab corporation for space communications, ArabSat.
Demashkeh added that the conference will discuss developing the Arab communications network and privatization fields available in the Arab states.
