King Amnesties 854 Convicted Persons

On the occasion of Aid-Al Fitr, to be commemorated Tuesday in Morocco to mark the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, King Hassan II granted amnesty measures to 854 persons convicted by various Moroccan courts.
Total amnesty was granted to 512 prisoners, 312 had their prison sentence reduced and two prisoners had their life sentences commuted to limited prison sentences. The King grants amnesty to prisoners on the occasion of religious and national days.
