Egyptian foreign minister discusses with Abdul Meguid the outcomes of coordination
Egypt, Politics, 1/18/1999

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa held yesterday a meeting with the Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid.

Following the meeting, Moussa said they agreed upon holding intensive efforts on Saturday between the ministers to guarantee the success of the consultative meeting, which Moussa described as a success for Arab coordination and solidarity and the Arab League.

Moreover, Moussa stated that Egypt is not part of any conspiracy and will not be a part of one, referring to the consultations between Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria Yemen and Oman, denying that it could be a maneuver or even a conspiracy.

Abdul Meguid stated that the task of the meeting will be very difficult, but good intentions are able to make it succeed. He added that the meeting will express the AL's position toward Iraq, confirming that military methods will not solve any problem and no country can accept the use of power against Iraq.
