Egypt, Economics, 1/18/1999
The board of directors of Egyptian Industrial Union approved the establishment of a fund for supporting dumping issues.
Abdul Menem Saudi, the head of the union, said the task of the fund is to defend Egyptian industrial companies which are harmed by foreign companies that dump their products on the Egyptian market.
Saudi told ArabicNews.com that the union's board of directors agreed to support the fund with an amount of one million pounds financed through an increase in the membership's participation by 25% over four years, as well as opening the door to volunteers who desire to reinforce this fund.
