Palestinian leadership supports Lebanese resolution to solve travel problem of refugees
Palestine-Lebanon, Politics, 1/16/1999

The Palestinian leadership gave support to the Lebanese government's decision last week to resolve the problem of travel and residency requirements imposed on Palestinian refugees who live in Lebanon by reconsidering travel documents issued by the Lebanese government to those refugees.

The Lebanese government imposed on 360,000 Palestinians living in Lebanon the need to obtain entry visas on their Lebanese travel documents.

The Palestinian leadership expressed in its statement, released in its weekly meeting yesterday evening in Ramallah under the chairmanship of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, its deep appreciation for the Lebanese state's resolution.
