Study considers Arab fund to support technological research

The Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining is conducting a study that tackles establishing the first Arab fund for supporting technological development and research in the industrial sector.

This would serve Arab industry in the future to face the challenges posed by rapid development in international industry.

Talat El-Zafer, the organization's general manager, said that the study made by the organization was previously presented to the Arab cabinet industry in its 15th session which was recently held in Morocco in the presence of representatives of the Arab ministries of industry.

He stated that the council took some decisions and recommendations regarding the activities and the organization's work programs between 1999 and 2000.
