Libya-International, Politics, 1/16/1999
Libyan official sources stated that the mediation made by Saudi Arabia and South Africa to find a solution to the Lockerbie crisis achieved progress in agreeing on a formula for trying the Libyan suspects in the Lockerbie case, adding that Libyan leader Colonel Moammar Gaddafi's talks with the Saudi delegate, Prince Bandar Bin Sultan, and the South African delegate, Jakes Gerwel, achieved remarkable progress compared to the talks by United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan with Gaddafi last month in Sert.
