Ad-hoc commission to promote Morocco's candidacy for hosting 2006 World Cup

Morocco has set up an ad-hoc commission to promote its candidacy for hosting the 2006 World Cup soccer finals.
It is the third time Morocco is running for organizing this prestigious football event after it failed in 1994 and 1998 to stand up against powerful rival candidates such as the United States and France.
Besides Morocco, Britain, Egypt, Brazil, Ghana, Nigeria, Germany and South Africa are also bidding for the event.
After visits to the candidate countries to assess their capacities and potentials for holding the world cup finals, the FIFA executive committee will designate the successful host country in March 2000.
