Head of Japan's overseas cooperation agency to visit Morocco

Chairman of the Japanese Agency of Overseas Cooperation, Fujita Kimio, is expected in Rabat this weekend for talks with Moroccan officials on ways of boosting partnership between the two countries in matters of fishing, technical training and scientific research.
The Japanese official will also tour the pilot projects financed by his agency in Morocco and will assess the priority technical and financial assistance needed by Morocco to modernize its economy and enhance its competitiveness to enable it counter upcoming globalization challenges.
Japan is assisting Morocco in building pilot fishing villages within the framework of a large-scale bilateral cooperation program providing, inter alia, for the consolidation of cooperation in seamen vocational training, engineering, halieutic resources protection, fish farming and processing.
