Arab sources: Albright will visit Egypt and Saudi Arabia at the end of the current month
Egypt-Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 1/15/1999

Arab diplomatic sources told ArabicNews.com that US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will pay quick visits to Egypt and Saudi Arabia after the conclusion of the meetings of Arab foreign ministers, which will start on January 24, to discuss the status of Iraq and the strike directed by US and British forces against Iraq last month.

The sources said that the visit is for learning about the outcome of the Arab meetings and their influence on a new strike that will be directed against Iraq after the conclusion Albright's visits, adding that the visits will take place on January 26 and 27 after her visit to Moscow.

The sources added that Albright will explain to officials in the area, especially Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, and Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisel her policy toward Iraq.
