Jordanian foreign minister to visit Kuwait at month's end

Jordanian Foreign Minister Abd al-Illah al-Khatib is due to visit Kuwait during the last week of the current month, in which al-Khatib will meet with his Kuwaiti counterpart and high-ranking Kuwaiti officials.

Al-Khatib's visit is considered the first of its sort for a Jordanian official to Kuwait since 1990.

Moreover, Jordanian diplomatic sources said that al-Khatib will discuss during this visit methods of enhancing and upgrading bilateral relations by all available means and the issue of the Jordanian detainees in Kuwaiti prisons and the possibility of their release.
