Terrorism victims families demonstrate in front of Algerian parliament
Algeria, Politics, 1/14/1999

Families of Algerian terrorism victims staged a demonstration yesterday in front of the headquarters of the Algerian parliament in protest against a text mentioned in the program of Prime Minister Ismael Hamdani's government that would treat the widows and orphans of these families in the same way as the families of the terrorists.

The families said that making the families of terrorism victims equal to the families of the terrorists is unjust and necessitated the protest.

Former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia's government issued a decree to compensate all the victims of national problems, which aroused a great wave of anger from the families of terrorism victims.
