Syria celebrates night of power

Under the patronage of Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, the Syrian al-Awqaf Ministry (Ministry of Islamic Trust) will hold on Thursday evening a religious ceremony on the occasion of the "Lailat al-Qader" (the Night of Power) which falls on the 27th day of the holy month of Ramadan. The celebration will be held at al-Othman Mosque in Damascus.
