Albright stresses US commitment to peace process

US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has asserted US President Bill Clinton's administration's commitment to the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace for the people of the Middle East.
In a message of congratulations Albright sent to the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, on the advent of Eid al-Fitr, she stressed the US adherence to Lebanon's unity and independence.
Albright expressed the hope that the Lebanese government would succeed in consolidating a democratic establishment for the sake of supporting the process of Lebanon's national unity and reconstruction.
