Shuttle tour for US envoy between Arafat and Netanyahu

US peace process envoy Dennis Ross made a shuttle tour between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in an attempt to activate the peace process in the Middle East.
Ross said that he attempted to urge the two sides to achieve progress in implementing the Wye River accord, pointing to the existence of some difficulties that obstruct the implementation.
Ross' statement came after a meeting in Ramallah with Arafat. Neither Netanyahu nor Ross made any declarations after their 90-minute closed-door meeting in Jerusalem.
