French equestrian Frank Akraz has visited the city of Palmyra on his Arabian horse, Tack, on which he will hold a world tour starting from Syria, through Cyprus, Greece, Yugoslavia and Italy to France, during which he will cover a distance of 5,000 km.
The French equestrian told SANA's correspondent in Palmyra that his trip, which bears the title "From Syria to Paris on Horseback" is for the sake of peace, SANA reported.
Akraz will start from the Syrian provinces in which he will cross some 1,000 km in one and a half months. He added he will write an illustrated book following his trip and publish it in many languages.
In 1996, the French equestrian completed a 30-month tour on his horse, in which he visited several Arab and foreign countries.
