Syrian cotton conference opens in Aleppo

Syrian Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Asaad Mustafa has affirmed the significance of the achievements Syria made in the agricultural sector.
In a speech he gave on Tuesday at the opening of the 30th Cotton Conference, the Syrian minister said that cotton plays a major role in the process of economic development which is being witnessed in Syria and is being accorded considerable government care and attention.
He added that cotton production has reached one million tonnes due to the efforts made by all parties concerned with agriculture.
