Egypt-Iraq, Politics, 1/12/1999

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa stated that all Arab states, at the top of which comes Saudi Arabia, are working on helping and supporting the Iraqi people.

In press statements yesterday, Moussa said that Egypt is pursuing the affairs of the Iraqi people and their suffering and doing its best to help Iraq in these difficult circumstances.

In addition this issue, he also said that what is done by Egypt and Saudi Arabia should be done by the Arab states toward Iraq in its crisis.

Answering the decision of the Iraqi parliament to halt dealing with international channels and neighboring countries and its effect on the general atmosphere, Moussa said that the general atmosphere is basically spoiled and doesn't need such a decision.
