Arab states participating in European partnership convene today in Cairo

The Arab countries participating in the European - Mediterranean partnership are convening today in Cairo to discuss methods of Arab coordination in the issue of liberating trade in order to raise a joint vision during the coming meeting of the 27 member states.

Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Gamal Baioumi said, "This meeting will discuss the establishment of an Arab mechanism that cares for the countries' interests in the joint meeting with the European side and providing a unified Arab position before the Valencia meeting in Spain" on January 28 - 29 and before the meeting of the countries taking part in the partnership on the foreign ministers' level in Stuttgart, Germany in April.
