Egyptian Shoura council approves fourth term of office for President Mubarak

The Egyptian Shoura council on Monday approved nominating President Mubarak for a fourth term of office.
In a cable addressed on Monday to President Mubarak the council said, "We nominate you as a Leader and President for a next term of office on our confidence in your leadership and our gratitude over your wise leadership."
The Egyptian People's Assembly (Parliament) had by its turn nominated President Mubarak one month earlier. President Mubarak will be officially nominated in May in preparation for a referendum in October.
