Secret committee surveys properties of Israelis in the Golan

Al-Ayam daily issued in the occupied Arab territories reported that a special committee is secretly surveying and estimating the properties of the Israelis in the occupied Golan Heights to compensate the Israelis who live there if Israel withdraws from the occupied Syrian territories.
The paper added that this secret operation which is called "Matgo" started in the era of Israeli Premier Yitzhak Rabin and proceeded under his two successors, Shimon Peres and Benjamin Netanyahu.
The paper added that the last meeting of the committee was held in September 1998, during which new developments had emerged on the surveying operations of 31 Israeli settlements in the Golan.
Preliminary estimates made for the first time revealed that the costs of the said Israeli settlements are 10 billion shekels.
