US - Egyptian discussions for supporting the economical cooperation

Egypt and the United States are preparing for a meeting on the level of senior economic officials to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the framework of the Egyptian - American partnership initiative known as the Mubarak - Al Gore initiative.

An Egyptian sources told ArabicNews.com that US Undersecretary of State for Economic Affairs Stuart Eizenstat will visit Cairo at the end of the coming month to head his country's delegation to this meeting and that he will meet with Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri and Foreign Minister Amr Moussa.

US Secretary of Commerce William Daley signed during his visit on November 14 an agreement draft with his Egyptian counterpart, Ahmed Goweili, in trade and investment in the framework of the same initiative that aims at encouraging transmitting advanced US technology and according to which the two sides have the right to ask for consultations regarding any subject within 30 days.
