Egypt to participate in the summit of the 15 countries group in Jamaica

Egypt will participate in the ninth summit for the Group of 15 developing countries, which will be held in Jamaica from February 10 - 12.

Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Dawlat Hassan announced that the summit will discuss developments in the international economic climate, methods of reforming the international financial system, enhancing the economic and commercial cooperation among the group's countries and coordinating organization's position regarding the issues to be raised at the third ministerial meeting for the World Trade Organization to be held in December in Washington.

The summit will also tackle the problems facing the developing countries in implementing the agreements of the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations and the importance of the developing countries' commitment to implementing decisions regarding agricultural products and textiles in which the developing countries enjoy competitive industries.
