European committee agrees on importing Egyptian potatoes

Egyptian Minister of Trade Ahmed Goweili stated that the European committee allowed imports of Egyptian potatoes to the Union's countries from five Egyptian areas.
Goweili added that it was decided to from a committee for following up on shipping the potatoes to the European Union countries that includes exporters of potatoes and officials in different harbors in order to coordinate with the European side for the 1998/1999 season, which started on December 25 and allows the export of 150,000 tons distributed through 47 exporters.
