New trade agreement between Egypt, Iraq at US $14 million

Iraqi Trade Minister Muhammad Mahdi Saleh has stressed that his country signed a new trade agreement with Egypt at a value of US $14 million in the course of the oil-for-food agreement whose fifth phase started on December 26, 1998.
In a statement he recently made to the Qatari al-Jazira satellite television station, Saleh noted contacts with Saudi companies which visited Iraq to sign several contracts within the framework of the oil-for-food agreement.
