Jordanian opposition parties urge the media to not promote statements of the US, UK in Amman
Jordan-Iraq, Politics, 1/9/1999

The Jordanian opposition parties have called on the media in Jordan to stop promotion of statements released by the ambassadors of the US and Britain in Amman and to abstain from meeting with them out of fears that the Jordanian media will find itself just a mere outlet to promote the policy of the two said countries.

A statement released on Saturday by the chairman of the higher coordination committee of the Jordanian opposition parties, Muhammad al-Amer, said this very call "stems from the care to recall the grave danger imposed on Arab conditions in critical moments."
