Morocco's Alami defeats countryman, advances to semi-final in Doha open

Morocco's Karim Alami defeated on Friday his countryman Hicham Arazi (world No 36) to secure a ticket to the semi-final of the $ 1 million Doha tournament. Alami (world Nø72) edged out Morocco's No 1 player in three sets, 6-1, 6-7, 6-4.
In the semi-final, Alami will face top seeded British Tim Henman, who knocked out US Jeff Tarango in three sets, 6-4, 6-7, 6-4.
