IFAD finances project for breeding sheep and goats in Sinai

Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Youssef Wali approved the establishment of a project for breeding sheep and goats in the middle of Sinai, financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
An agricultural development official in Sinai, Sabri El-Howari, said the project aims at upgrading the region of central Sinai and at encouraging the Bedouins to live there, as well as allowing a permanent source for life there and upgrading the animal wealth.
IFAD is to provide good offspring of sheep and goats and distribute them among Egyptian families and citizens through the ministry, in addition to financing the establishment of production and industrial projects based on products from goats and sheep.
