An International airport in Egyptian Oasis
Egypt, Business, 1/9/1999

Egyptian Minister of Housing Mohammed Ibrahim Soliman agreed on specifying 10 thousand feddans on the road of Oasis for establishing an international airport to serve investment and tourism in this region, Soliman said in his meeting with the members of the assembly of October 6 City investors yesterday evening.

The housing minister approved the use of a piece of land for the city's investors to establish a project for treating industrial waste, as well as reforming the water networks in the city to put an end to all problems facing investors and improve services in the city.

The new airport will be established by the B.O.T. (build-operate-transfer) system and it will be an international airport identical to Cairo airport, for which it can substitute if necessary.
