German foreign minister to visit Egypt on Wednesday

German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer is to arrive in Egypt on a two-day formal visit beginning on Wednesday, during which he will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
Moreover, Fischer, whose country currently holds the rotating European Union presidency, is going to hold important political talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa in which they will tackle the enhancement of the Middle East peace process as well as the enhancement of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and social domains.
Fischer's visit to Cairo comes within the framework of his tour of the Middle East, including Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.
