British prime minister visits Kuwait today

British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived today in Kuwait in an official visit during which he will meet with Kuwaiti Emir Jabir al-Ahmed al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Saad al-Abdallah al-Sabah and senior officials.
Blair will visit the British Royal Air Force squadron consisting of 12 Tornado jets at Ali El-Salem base west of Kuwait City.
Meanwhile, the British aircraft carrier Invincible arrived today in the Gulf and joined the British and United States troops stationed in the area. On board the Invincible are Sea King helicopters and jets.
It was decided to send this carrier after the month of Ramadan to reinforce the British - US strength in the region in light of the ongoing crisis between Iraq and UN.
