4 million passengers transported by Egypt Air to 85 international cities

The number of passengers transported by Egypt Air on domestic and international flights reached 4,021,639 for the fiscal year 1997/98.
Mohammed Fahim Rayan, the head of Egypt Air, said that the number of passengers who used the Arab lines of Egypt Air reached 1,308,770, those using the international routes numbered 2,752,371 and those taking domestic flights numbered 1,269,268 passengers, which means that the percentage of passengers flying the Arab lines was close to 50% of the total movement of the international routes.
Rayan told ArabicNews.com that his company had reductions reaching 50% on ticket prices and extra weight during festivals and special national occasions, including marketing, tourism and arts festivals.
