Israel burns or destroys 14 houses in Arnoun

Lebanese resistance forces on Thursday carried out a series of operations against positions and armored patrols of the Israeli occupation forces and its South Lebanon Army militia allies inside the occupied part of south Lebanon, in retaliation to an attack by the Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday night in which Israeli troopers raided town in the Lebanese district of Arnoun and burnt or destroyed 14 houses.

News reports from south Lebanon said a 30-man Israeli armored force, backed by three armored vehicles and three bulldozers, took off from al-Shaqif castle and entered the town of Arnoun at mid night on Wednesday and stayed inside the town until dawn.

The news reports added that the destruction was carried out while the people of the town were watching their houses being devastated, noting that more half of the town's population has left the town due to Israeli practices.

Among the houses destroyed was the house of al-Haj Khalil Hamdan, an official of the Amal movement in south Lebanon.
