Fire destroys 78 shops in southern city market

Fire destroyed Tuesday 78 stores in a Laayoune market (Southern Morocco). Only ten shops in the popular market were saved, rescue teams said. Wood, plastic items and gas bottles contributed to the rapid spread of fire.
Last week, fire broke out in two Casablanca shanty-towns, injuring sixty people and turning into ashes some eighty huts.
