72 million dinars in foreign investment in Jordan's stock market
Jordan, Economics, 1/7/1999
The networth of foreign investments in the Jordanian stock market increased to reach 72.9 million dinars in comparison to 2.8 milllion dinars for the year 1997.
A Jordanian economic source attributed this sudden increase to the government selling its shares in many of Jordan's general companies, a matter which created a specialized market for finance.
The figures issued by Amman's financial market said that the total foreign purchases in the market reached 82.3 million dinars in comparison to 10 million dinars during the same period last year.
