Clinton meets with King Hussein

US President Bill Clinton on Tuesday discussed with Jordanian King Hussein the crisis with Iraq and the Middle East peace process during a meeting they held at the White House.
Spokesman for the US National Security Council David Leavy said that the US President stressed during the meeting his "previous claims" that Iraq constitutes a threat to the region's security and stability.
The spokesman added that the two sides agreed on the need to implement the Wye agreement signed between the Israeli and Palestinian governments.
King Hussein stopped in Washington on his way back home to Amman following a six-month medical treatment period he spent in the USA.
