Yemeni President, Hamas official review developments in the region

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday in Sanaa discussed with the chief of Hamas political bureau, Khaled Mishal, developments pertaining to the Palestinian cause in light of the renewed stalemate in the Middle East peace process.
The Yemeni news agency, Sabaa, said the Yemeni president confirmed during his meeting with Mishal, currently visiting Yemen, his country's support for the struggle mounted by the Palestinians to restore their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as a capital on their own national soil. Hamas last December affirmed its intention to continue armed struggle against Israel.
