Disobedience among pro-Israeli militias in S. Lebanon
Lebanon, Politics, 1/4/1999

The Lebanese resistance has asserted that it has a right to retaliate to violations of the April Understanding agreement by the Israeli occupation troops through the raids carried out against Nahla and Jenta towns in north Lebanon.

Hizbullah's assistant secretary general, Sheikh Naem Qasem, said on Sunday that the Israeli raid carried out on Sunday is a new Israeli violation of the April Understanding and is part of the Israeli anxiety over the important effect of the resistance.

Further reports from south Lebanon said, the occupied strip of south Lebanon has witnessed rebellion, desertion and disobedience among pro-Israeli militias especially in the occupied district of Jezzine. Within the same context, more reports added that 18 elements of pro-Israeli militias fled to a Lebanese police post in Safarya town in Jezzine district. The reports said Jezzine is living under difficult circumstances caused by Israeli suppressive measures and practices from which Lebanese civilians are suffering.

Confrontation took place between the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia and those who refused to continue to serve Israel.
