Chinese foreign minister is to visit Egypt on Monday

The Chinese ambassador in Cairo H. Hioon told ArabicNews.com that Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan is going to visit Cairo on Monday during which he will meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid, who will sign with the Chinese foreign minister a memorandum of understanding concerning the mechanism for consultations between China and the Arab League.
This memorandum comes in the light of the Arab foreign ministers' decision on the importance of developing relations between the Arab League and China.
Moreover, the Chinese foreign minister along with Abdul Meguid and Egyptian officials will discuss the development of relations between Egypt, China and the Arab League, confirming that this mechanism for consultation and coordination is a sign of the large and new development in Arab - Chinese relations.
