Egyptian textile factories ready face international competition

Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mofid Shehab announced that Egyptian textile factories are currently set up to face international competition as this sector represents about 25% of Egyptian exports and employs about one million workers, with investments valued at $8.3 billion.
The minister said they are going to make use of a complete study set up by the production committee in the ministry to upgrade the textile factories in Egypt to obtain the certificate of ISO offered to textile producers who comply with international environmental legislation.
