New Algerian domestic airline approved

The Algerian government has agreed to authorize the work of the Desert Aviation Company, which is considered the second private sector company working in this field, and will be located in Touggourt city 150 km north of the Hassi Masoud region where there are petroleum fields as well. An Algerian source told ArabicNews.com today that this authorization is confined to internal flights.
External flights will still be in the hands of the government-owned Algerian aviation company, which owns 40 airplanes and carries about four million passengers annually along local and external lines.
