Arafat dedicates first Palestinian navy base

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat dedicated on Monday in Self-ruled Gaza the first base of Palestinian navy.
The base dubbed "Abu Ammar" (Arafat's war name) was inaugurated on the eve of the celebration next Thursday of the 34th anniversary of the Fatah movement.
Last month, Arafat inaugurated the 1st Palestinian airport in presence of several Arab and foreign ministerial delegations.
The opening of the $ 250 million airport, whose construction was completed two years ago but blocked for security arrangements with Israel, is provided for in the Oslo and Wye plantation accords.
